In Whitehill and Bordon this May, we are celebrating all things health and wellness. It’s important to remember that staying healthy doesn’t just mean hitting the gym regularly. There are plenty of fun and enjoyable ways to keep your body moving and your mind sharp.

One fantastic way to get your body moving is through dancing. Whether you’re stepping out at our Magic Mike night at The Cube on Friday 3rd May or getting into the Eurovision spirit on the 11th May, dancing is a sure-fire way to get your heart rate up and have a great time. Find out more about these events on The Shed website here- Upcoming Events at The Shed – (theshedwb.com)

If you prefer outdoor activities, consider joining the Whitehill and Bordon Community Trust for the ‘Hogmoor 6’ event. This event includes a 4km bike ride and a 2km run through the beautiful Hogmoor Inclosure. Or, if walking is more your speed, sign up for the Green Loop, a 10km walk that starts and finishes at Café Hogmoor. You can find more information and sign up for these events on the WBCT website here – Events | WBCT (wb-ct.org)

Remember, health isn’t just about physical exercise. It’s also important to take care of your mind and body in other ways. Consider attending the Health and Wellbeing day at The Shed on Saturday 25th May. There will be information stands from various healthcare providers, market stalls, and more to help you learn about different ways to stay healthy and happy.

In addition to all the amazing health and wellness events happening in Whitehill and Bordon this May, we are excited to announce that a roving Covid and Health Check truck will be visiting The Shed on the 15th and 17th May. This truck will provide support and education relating to vaccine hesitancy and concerns, raise awareness of all vaccination and screening programmes, offer blood pressure checks, smoking cessation advice, sexual health advice, weight management advice, women’s health and menopause advice, early cancer detection advice, and even social prescribing in some areas. Make sure to stop by The Shed on these dates to take advantage of these valuable resources and take a proactive approach to your health and wellbeing.

So, whether you’re dancing the night away, cycling through the woods, or exploring ways to improve your overall wellbeing, remember that health can be anything you want it to be. Stay active, stay curious, and most importantly, stay happy and healthy.
