Christmas Markets at The Shed

The Shed will be host to a brand-new Christmas Market full of festive food and fayre on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th of December. Running from 12:00-8:00pm each day in the upper town square next to The Shed, the Christmas Market will be full to the brim of the finest of Whitehill & Bordon’s local makers and creators to help bring in the Christmas season.
Those looking for festive food and drink will not be disappointed. Think turkey baps, german hot dogs and pigs in blankets available daily from one of the newly installed wooden chalets, pick and mix from Sweet Delight, traditional mince pies and cakes from Acorns Coffee & Cake, as well as savoury Christmas pies from Ethel’s Pies. You’ll find home-bred lamb from The Hampshire Shepherd, and beautiful gingerbread houses, iced cookies and chocolate oranges from Gray’s Cakes & Bakes and delicious cookies from Bakewicks. Drink Mulled wine and cider from The Tap at The Shed’s special wooden chalet, or get your hands on locally brewed gin from the Hogmoor Distillery. Not to mention all of the businesses trading within The Shed with tasty, healthy meals spanning from Mexico to Asia.
Looking for the perfect gift? The Shed’s Christmas Market has something for everyone: flowers, wreaths and plants from Carolyn’s Flowers, paintings, crystals, ornaments and candles from The Calm Cabin, or handmade accessories from Meebee Designs. There’ll be pet’s Christmas hampers, beautiful interior furnishings and home-made Christmas cards and decorations too. And that’s just to name a few!
Throughout the Christmas Market there will be plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained while you fill your bags. The already sold-out Santa’s Grotto will be running each day, as well as roaming entertainers, nursery rhymes from Little Treasures and carols from Cygnets and Polyanna Preschool. On Friday 3rd from 4pm, market go-ers can grab a drink and take a seat to watch Alice Manville singing festive songs at The Cube. Basingstoke based Pumpkin Pantos will be treating visitors to a fun-filled Sleeping Beauty Pantomime at 6pm on both Friday and Sunday – the perfect way to end a day’s shopping!
The Shed’s elves have also installed a special Letter Box collecting letters which they will personally deliver to Santa. Head to The Shed website for more information on how you can send one too. Make sure it’s signed, sealed and delivered before December 9th to make sure Santa gets your letter in good time!
Bring your friends and family and enjoy the magic of Christmas at The Shed.
