The Phoenix Theatre & Arts Centre in Association with Whitehill & Bordon Regeneration Company and featuring the Alton Concert Orchestra.
A highlight of Alton’s events calendar for the past 15 years, now renamed A Night at the Proms, the family-friendly summer concert by the Alton Concert Orchestra (ACO) moves to a new home in Whitehill & Bordon for 2022.
The event will be held on Saturday 9 July at 7.30 pm at Town Park, Whitehill & Bordon and is a cultural partnership between ACO, The Phoenix and Whitehill & Bordon Regeneration Company (WBRC).
Phoenix Director, Rob Allerston, said: “I’ve had a long-held ambition to bring classical music to Whitehill & Bordon and with this concert, I’m finally achieving it”.
ACO Music Director Chris Gardner added: “We are delighted to be taking part in this new venture and we are planning what we hope will be a delightful and entertaining musical programme to reflect the excitement and expectation of the regeneration of Whitehill & Bordon”
On behalf of WBRC former musician and Project Lead, James Child continued: “I am delighted that we can host ACO in Whitehill & Bordon this summer in our fantastic Town Park next to The Shed. A Night at the Proms will be a great way to kick off our summer festival.”
