Welcome April fools one and all – we’re back and badder than a shark attack!
More stand-up comedy fun in the intimate and excellent surroundings of The Cube.
Book early as our clubs always sells out.
This month’s lineup features Aaron Simmonds, Paul Pirie and Ada Campe!
Do note that lineups are subject to change.
Aaron Simmonds has been failing to stand up for 30 years; luckily he is far better at comedy than standing up. He has a unique perspective on life, usually of people’s belly buttons, which gives him stories to tell, and a sore neck.
“A comedian going places” **
**Places that are wheelchair accessible
Aaron’s comedy demonstrates expert storytelling, whilst packing jokes and opportunities for mirth into every moment.
“anecdotal gold.. a supremely confident and intelligent performer” Fest
“a man with plenty attitude and a keen sense of the right humorous stuff” The List
Tall Tales! Super songs! Mischievous magic! Join award-winning variety artiste Ada Campe for some much-needed cheer to your 2022.
Ada Campe is a real one-off, a one-woman celebration of a bygone golden era of decorous razzmatazz, yet still hugely relevant today. Winner of the New Act of the Year at the NATYS, the Leicester Square Theatre Old Comedian of the Year, and The Stand Comedy Club’s Good Egg Award. Best Variety Act Nominee at the Chortle Awards!
‘Ada Campe made me laugh more than anyone on the circuit for years’ Sandi Toksvig
‘strong sense of the ridiculous.. tears of joyful laughter… absolutely fabulous’ ScotsGay
‘part raconteur, part magician, part comedian, Campe is as enigmatic as she is eccentric. Hilarious and not to be forgotten in a hurry.’ Fest Mag
A brilliant natural comedian, Paul Pirie comes packed full of energy and uses every ounce to maximum effect, with superb delivery.
With a set that jumps from bitchy to silly, you’re never more than a line away from a great pun, insight or well-crafted punch line, delivered with a ferocity that makes Paul’s humble beginnings on the Scottish circuit seem such a long time ago.
“a most impressive physical comedian…” – Chortle
“a hilarious rubber-faced clown” – The Scotsman
