There’s a selection of exciting music events taking places throughout the month.

Eurovision Party! – Saturday 13th May 2023

Come down to The Shed on the 13th May, for a pre-show party with the ABBA Sisters from 6.30pm, then kick off the Eurovision party on the big screen. Plus, we have live commentary and audience interaction from Bordon’s own version of Graham Norton…Stu-rovision!

Dressing up not essential, but highly encouraged. Attendance is free, but please register interest below.

The Shed Factor – Friday 19th May 2023

Are you a band looking for your big break? Fed up with singing in your room and looking to be the next Ed Sheeran? Or, do you just think you have what it takes? Then we have just the thing for you!

On the 19th May, the Shed will become THE place to help your music career with….The Shed Factor! Audition in front of local music industry professionals (no Simon Cowell or high waisted trousers in sight!) and be in with the chance to open our very first music festival in August.

Email backbeatcollective@gmail.com with a bio, video footage and contact details before the 12th May to be considered to audition. Limited spaces available.

Come along and support the artists from 7pm, to watch the live auditions!

FITNESS

As may is Spring into Health month, fitness is a focus across Whitehill and Bordon this month.

Charity Walk for Peace  – Saturday 20th May 2023

The Charity Walk for Peace is an initiative of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association – part of the UK’s oldest established Muslim community. 2023 is the second walk taking place Whitehill and Bordon, beginning at Hogmoor Inclosure. The route also passes by The Shed so you can pop in for an ice cream or coffee along the way!

Move it May – Saturday 27th May 2023
We understand the importance of taking care of yourself and your loved ones, which is why have teamed up with the Whitehill & Bordon Community Trust to bring you an afternoon dedicated to all things related to health and wellbeing as part of ‘Spring into Health’. From physical fitness and healthy eating to mental health and mindfulness, the aim is to empower and inspire you to live your best life possible!

Budds Lane Skate Jam – Sunday 28th May 2023

12:00 – 13:00 – Skate Demonstration

13:00 – 14:00 – Obstacle Challenge
This time is allowed for participants to skate as they please while announcements will be made highlighting specific obstacles in which prizes may be won for tricks landed.

14:00 – 15:00 – Death Race
This time is allowed for the “Death Race” event to take place in which the park will be cleared so that individuals that wish to, can partake. Those taking part will start at one end of the park and race to the other end and back in order to win a prize.

15:00 – 16:00 – Chance to Win
The  “Chance to Win” skate is time allocated in which participants can use the entire park, and all of the obstacles, to win prizes from tricks landed. The prizes will be distributed by a team of knowledgeable umpires to the participants skating.

16:00 / 17:00 – Free Skate / Skater of the Day
The final hour of the event will be a “Free Skate” where people may use the park freely (prizes will not be handed out for tricks during this) while the previously mentioned umpires decide who shall be crowned “Skater of the Day”

 Coronation Celebration – Saturday 6th May 

Come one, come all to our Coronation Picnic in the Park!

Celebrate the crowning of our new monarch at The Shed. There will be music, market stalls, and a variety of activities for all ages.

Bring your family and friends and join us for a day of fun and merriment as we signify the start of a new reign.

We welcome little princes and princesses to dress in their finest attire and join us in commemorating this historic moment.
