The Shed Summer Social: 10th July

On Saturday 10th July, The Shed will be hosting a Summer Social where everyone can join in or relax and unwind and enjoy the newest addition to Whitehill & Bordon Town Centre.

Starting with a morning of exercise, at 10am you can try your hand at Judo in the Town Park, or head to the rear of The Shed and participate in a group Zumba class held by The Shed’s neighbour – Everyone Active Leisure Centre. There will also be Judo courses from Fiona Chan from 10am, and a guided cycle from The Shed’s very own Cycle Sphere at 11am. From 12:30 there will be family-friendly entertainment in the park, plus an evening of live music from the Dixon Due from 5pm and Alice Manville from 8pm.

Throughout the day you can choose from a number of eateries to sate your appetite; ice cream from Dylan’s Ice Cream, Thai and Japanese from Siam Oishi, Mexican street food from Hermanos, or try a burger from the newly opened 350 burger; a start-up from local foodie and entrepreneur Dayne Cartwright in partnership with councillor Andy Tree. For dessert there’s the delectable creations from Crane Patisserie, which visitors can enjoy on the day or take home for later.

There will be lots of great drinks on offer too, with margaritas from Hermanos, as well as the newest addition to The Shed; The Tap, selling a whole range of locally brewed and sourced craft beer, cider, wine and spirits. For those partial to the softer drinks, there’s always The Mixing Jug smoothies and café to choose from, as well as non-alcoholic drinks available at the Tap.

The Shed’s retail stores will be open too, so pop into Signal Bordon’s Studio and The Crafty Shed for locally made gifts and trinkets, as well as Oak Tree & Acorn for all interior needs. And as it’s ‘Plastic Free’ July, we urge you give Fill Up a visit, The Shed’s very own plastic free, zero-waste shop selling everyday staples for your ethical weekly shop.

On top of all of that, there will also be the weekly Saturday Market from 9:00am-2:30pm at the Market Square just in front of The Shed. This features a fantastic range of food, drink and produce from local makers and creators.
